  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
48' LRC (1976 - 1981)
Today I stopped by the local Wallyworld to restock my Dieselkleen, and did not see any in the usual location. Asked a sales associate and was told last Saturday they receive instructions to pull all Dieselkleen stock off the shelves and return it to the distribution center. No reason was given. Anyone know more on this subject??

Nope - but I noted the same thing.

Google and found alot of diesel pu truck forums and VW forums talking about the same thing. one said that wallmart tried to cut their wholesale price too much and got into disagrement with supplyers, they no longer carry it.

someone mentioned Tractor Supply carries it.

Just talked with Brian at Power Service and he told me the large retailers have shipped back the product to Power Service to add a label to the bottle stating the product is complient with the EPA Mandate for June-2006 on low-sulpher content. Nothing wrong with the product - large retailers did not want to take any heat from the EPA.

That's the story they told me.

Makes sense.

There is a new label being sported at diesel pumps around here stating that the fuel MAY NOT be put into a 2007 and later vehcile and it is not low-enough sulfur.

If DK needs to add a sticker, then so be it. Let 'em do it and it'll show back up as "'07 model year safe".

Geeze...

Wouldn't it be easier to ship new labels to the retailers? Or am I being too logical?

You're being logical; you'd have to actually get retailers to put them on, and for $6-7/hour, do you really think they'll all end up on the bottles?

Karl,
You're absolutely correct. In a world of "who's to blame" if the retailer misses adding the label to a bottle - well you get my meaning....

So, what's the new boat you'll be adding DieselKleen to?

Nothing yet.... I run it in my Diesel Jetta too though..... fortunately I have two "big" (3/4 gal) jugs of it stockpiled until it returns to wally world :D
