detroit temp sender

Well all you Detroit gurus, I have a dumb question for you. Where did they hide the temp sender on a 1970 8V71 NA? I found the temp switch that I believe is for the over temp alarm, but can't find the temperature sender for the gauge. Help!

It should be screwed into the thermostat housing. There are multiple ports there.

Thanks, Genesis, I should have known that. Explains why I couldn,t find it, tho. The floor of the sal!oon has to come up to get to it. Thanks again!
