I tried the spray paint that John Powell used and it is bright white. My motors have a creamy White look to them. Anyone use a color they can recommend? Thanks in advance.

Take a look at Rustoleum Heritage White.

Thanks Bob I'll buy a can tomorrow and let you know.

Johnson-Evinrude white engine paint. A creamy white.

Thanks Robert, l looked up Bobs recommendation but could not find a Heritage White. My company buys from Rustolem and I was check with them in the morning. It's good to have a few others to test as well. Again Thank You.

Sure thing. Take a look at my post at 10:06 on 2/06 on this thread to contrast engine color against white white ER deck.

I too use Johnson-Evinrude white paint. Holds up very well, and handles the heat well also. Other paints dull after a while, turn chalky. I even re-painted my genset, looks brand new. Look at what outboards endure.

Be good all,
Tim

Thanks guys I'll get a can and see if it matches.

Seven, my 6V92s are Johnson&Towers and Rustolum Almond matched perfefectly.

Even my engine survey guy recommends Rustoleum Gloss White. I've used it twice. Excellent protection and serviceability. And results.

The white is just to white. I'm not painting the entire motor, I'm just doing some touch up work. I'll try the Evinrude and the rest oleum Allmond and see how close they come. Thanks for your replies.

Be careful of the Johnson evinrude fumes. Even small touchups drew the wrath of admiral. The stuff is strong.

Good to know. Thanks
