DD 6v92 shut down

Ive had the push button shutdown switch go bad. I also have had an inline fuse for that switch burn out..
 
??? Just manually push the lever on the Governor to shut it off.
 
Keep a multimeter on board. Check that you are getting voltage to the solenoid when you push the kill button. A lot of parts have been replaced due to bad switches and connections.

Probably will take a second person for this but It needs to be done.
That coil in the solenoid does draw some current so expect some voltage drop. Measure on the solenoid studs as the crimps and connect could be a issue also. I would say a 10% V drop is a norm, more is a concern.
You have to realize, high current path, from the battery, power buss bar, fuse holder, to the helm, thru a switch, back to that solenoid, then back to the negative buss bar, to battery negative..
Wow , what a ride...

Don't forget that negative lead from the solenoid, It is still flowing current back to the battery.

Lots of folk don't understand this. I have realized this following up on others wire work. Heavy cable to, speaker wire back... Amazing logic..
