Dataw Island

Some years ago on one of my annual trips between NJ and Fla I had occasion to stop at Dataw Island in SC. We borrowed a car from the dock master and went to a restaurant called The Gullah House. Is anyone familiar with it and is it still there? It was a wonderful experience and I am trying to contact them. There is a Gullah House restaurant in Charlestown but I was defiantly on Dataw Island . Thanks.... Walt

Restaurant is still listed as open on internet on nearby St Helena Is., but the marina was wiped out in Matthew.

Stop at Port Royal Marina, they have a car. On the ICW about 3/4 mile south of town. Tell them Russ sent you! Dataw was totaled. One of their boats ended up at the airport complete with the finger still attached!!!!

Been down to Beaufort a couple of times in last month. Uber works well there.
