My salon Cruiseair SMX II sounds a beeping alarm every morning at the same time shutting it off. If you just hit the cool button it goes back to work as if nothing ever happened and runs fine until the same time the next morning when it does it again! Thoughts or a solution? Thanks in advance!

Like a dead battery in a smoke alarm beep? How many beeps? Any recent changes or maintenance?

Time for a controller reset.

Convinced it was the cruise air controller and forgot I just put new batteries in the atomic wall clock above it a few days ago. Somehow when putting new batteries in the clock a wake up alarm got set! Hell I didn’t even know it had one! Well I’ve felt stupid before..hahaha beeping has been cured🙈

I luv the good & simple resolutions.

But how does the clock shut off the AC?

I don’t think it was really off! Early in the am when it went off not really very light out and it’s right above the unit. It appeared that it was off so I hit the off and cool button in an attempt to shut it down. The time it took me to do that just happens to be about when the clock shuts off the alarm itself!! Timing is everything! I know a very experienced AC guy in FL and a call to him about it verified that there is no alarm beeping that can happen with an SMXII display.
I haven’t told him what I found yet…..I will never hear the end of it!

For $20, I wont tell him either.....

Just be glad you found out what it was before the $150/hr guy did.
