  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
52' CONVERTIBLE (1983 - 1990)
Salon Heating and Cooling has stopped.

Sea Water flow is excellent, checked coming directly out of the unit. No Fault codes. Everything appears to be working properly but there is no cooling nor heating. Evaporator coils are clean. Reversing valve appears to be working. based on sound and pressures.

Ambient Temperature is 55
Sea Water Temperature is 59
In Cooling, Pressures are 125 head/30 Suction
In Heating, Pressures are 120 Suction/28 Head

Conditioned discharged air temp is 65-67 on both modes.

3 Other units will heat and cool like a champ.

I am seriously stumped.

Do all units dump sea water overboard thru the same fitting?

Does the compressor short cycle? Does it run continuously?

Are the condenser coils warm/hot?

What refrigerant? My R22 systems are 65 suction/250 high side

Sounds like your suction is a bit low, perhaps a charge is needed. I have a pressure-temperature chart somewhere but cant seem to find it.

I was low on Freon, I actually was using a Cruisair R22 chart that said I was good. After several recommendations to charge over on FB I did. She heating and cooling like a champ.
