We are thinking to cruise up/down the Calif/Wash/Mex coasts. Stabs a must!
What's the conventional wisdom on which to get? WAG as to cost .. installed?
I just went through this with a company in San Diego and the bottom line is about $40,000. That was for Naiads, but I think ABT’s were about the same. A lot of the cost is installation. John
Thought about that...Space limitations.
The only place I think one would work is where the 'spare' 100 gal fuel tank is under the galley deck.
I want the fuel capacity.
Gyros are great but finding room is always a challenge.
I haven’t finished my Trac install on my boat. Actuators and fins are in i haven’t done the hydraulics and controls yet. I was lucky to get used but rebuilt actuators and servos which cut the costs. Install of the actuators took about three to four days on the hard for two guys.
Out of curiosity... what's the spec'd supply for the electric TRACs? It says AC.... 120? 240? Amperage? Their website seems to treat this as classified.....
Disregard.... I just saw you're putting in the hydraulic version. But, maybe you know?
