copper ground strap in hardtop

So I cut out the section , used a s a template on 3/4 mdo plywood , cut out holes for tempered glass, epoxy and screwed in mahogany 1/2 strips so the glass will be flush , trimmed out the interior with the 1/2" scrap mahogany I had . siliconed into place with dow 795 structural silicone (commonly known to glaziers ) . still some finish and paint to do . I love the open feel and light in brings to the salon and galley , If it gets too bright in the summer Ive got pleated shades to use..
