There is an item on the Island Free Press news feed about this; boat is a charter yacht named Lady Windridge, which was taking on water about 14 miles from Ocracoke. Evidently they took an injured crew member off in a basket as well. I imagine there will be more details tomorrow. The video of the rescue shows a boat which appears to be the one on Windridge charters web site.

They operate down here in so fl, I ve seen the boat around. Guess they had some contracts up north in the off season. Triton article said something hit them at the stern leaving cracks and the crew member got the tip of his fingers cut while fixing the leaks. so said the boat was under its own power.

Not sure how something hits a boat in the stern and miss the running gear,

Docks and pilings have a way of doing that when the boat is in reverse. ;)
