Hatteras Model
46' CONVERTIBLE-Series I (1974 - 1981)
My dock is made of concrete and over the last couple of years has accumulated a lot of paint marks, rusted spots, spills, etc. and is looking pretty bad. Any suggestions on how to clean it up? I tried scrubbing with a SS brush and much to my surpise...Nothing!

Thanks all....

Muriatic Acid is commomly used for cleaning concrete but be careful with that stuff.

I have used a commercial pressure washer to clean concrete with good results. The pressure should be at least 3,000 psi. You can rent one from an Equipment Rental place. Be careful with it. Don't point the nozzle at any one or your feet. It can put a hole thru it in no time. You may have to use Black beauty with the water to sand blast heavily coated areas. Some years ago I cleaned over 150,000 sq. ft. of parking deck areas at Yankee Stadium prior to waterproofing them.

If you have one bad spot after all that try some WINK-- get it at the grocery store. BE CAREFUL AND WEAR PPE. Its hydroflouric acid. Comes in a small copper colored plastic bottle. When I was 10 I did my bike wheels and they looked
great !! But I soon realized that its tuff to ride a bike with NO FINGERNAILS !!!!!
Great for rust stains elsewhere also. ws
