I know-I know, all thats missing is the chrome vlave covers

Now I feel better. Mine are cleaner than that but were about the same minus the soot when I bought her.

Joke right? Thing looks like it burned.

Aw you guys are all wet. Thats what happens when 12-71s go for a swim in water thats over their heads--PUN INTENDED. Thats all the oil and bilge goo from 32 years of neglect that floated up when the water letter inner overcomes the pumps / batteries. Think WHISK mite help.  ws

Lest I forget to add-- I dont tolerate soot in the ER. Its sooo unsitely LOL ws

I thought my ER was a mess:p

My 43 is not as pretty. But you could eat off SOME areas. I'm still working on it. Hope I to can show you pictures like that next year. Is that the new cleaner that that guy used.

Dan your pix do not do "End of the Line" justice!

I had the priviledge of getting to meet Dan and his wife last weekend and see all HIS work he has done himself. WOW! Absolutely, awesome refurb work, spotless bilge, beautiful boat.

So, there is no way I can let him peek in my hatches. Yes some clean spots and many I can't crawl into and come out without surgery! So be it for now!

Was "going to " attack my engine room last Saturday but BellSouth asked me to come into work..... Hummn, work in the engine room or make overtime.....
So I came into work.
Then yesterday was a home game for the Jaguars so HAD to go to that as we have season tickets.(Jags 41-0 over the Jets :D )
On the plus side, I did find a site for oil pads. West Marine "only" wants $1.40 a pad... What a deal.
I ordered 200 pads online for $68.
So when I "get the chance", will attack the engine room, with all the cleaners listed on this thread, plus have 2 family packs of paper towels, gloves and plan on having several cases of beer iced down.

Our local fishing coop sells "bales" (bundle of 100) pads for about $50. Guess where I buy mine? :)

That's the one I used.... $68 for 200 as compared to $298 at West Marine.........
Heck, for the savings, maybe I should hire a teenager to clean the engine room while I drink beer......

Remember the wes Marine Credo. Like Home Depo.

Never will you pay more to get less. Loo at the size and absorbancy of the towels too. The more the absorb the better. I got the 3m 100 towels for aboyt $60 at my local wholesale distributor. They are 1/4 the price of the less absorbant ones at Waist moron.
