Children's Toy Boat

I started looking for a toy boat for our first grandson to play with. I have some time, since he is only three months old.

I have not found any toy boats that look like a real ( traditional Hatteras ) boat. Looks are important to me, but I also want something he and I can play with. An electric motor and remote control would be fun.

Any suggestions?

Vincent, I have a model 46SF I had built years ago (Captains Models, Cottage Grove, OR) but the price would keep it from being in the toy class. I have never seen a toy boat that looked like a Hatteras. A shame as you could probably sell a few on this forum. Clearly we're not too old for toys

Not a Hatteras but a nice model of a vintage Wheeler. You get to restore it too! If you want one to have fun with, I just bought this one for my 9 year-old. It runs 20MPH!

I found that my ideas of a great toy boat and the ideas of a 3 year old are not the same. I bought a simple runabout toy for my law partners' daughter and grand daughter who is almost 4 years old. It is not very close to a traditional Hatteras,
