Hatteras Model
61' MOTOR YACHT (1980 - 1985)
My wife and I adopted that little boy around 2 months ago. He spends a lot of time pulling toy boats around in the pool so I made him that towboat. What could be a more fitting toy for the son of a towboat builder?

Brian... he sure is a cutie. He looks happy and confident. Good for you and your wife. Enjoy... they grow up too fast!!! ppat

Great job dad! Wanna build a sistership for my 6 year old son? :D

What are you guys talking about? All I see is a beautiful 60C EB in the that picture. Do you have any more pics of that.

BTW, nice work on the towboat. I can tell it's American made. There's no plastic and no lead paint.

Wait til he asks for a Z drive! NIce looking boats, both. Friend of mine is retired USCG officer and sells (or used to) oil field work boats.

Congratulations, I can think of nothing better than giving a loving home to a child. How does Haley like having a brother? The 60C and the mini push boat look great too. I saw the price lowered on the 61, does that mean you are going to be one of us Conv owners? Dave

They get along great and it's funny to see the diffrences. Hayley's a typical girl sensitive and emotional and he's tough as nails. So they're rubbing off on each other she's getting a little tougher and he's getting a little softer and that's a good thing for both of them.

I doubt I'm going to be a convertible owner the C's going to be a deal when I put it on the market so I'm thinking it will probably sell before the MY. One of them has got to go so I'll just have to wait and see.

Spark building the toy boat is to much work but I'll gladly sell you a full size model I've got plenty of them. Just think about how great that would be you won't have to worry about getting your engine done!!!

Brian

That is one lucky kid. And I don't just mean because of the boat.

Congratulations and best of luck to all of you.

Congratulations Brian. With your teaching and background he's going to be good at what ever he does. Now teach him to swim. All nine of mine were 5 when they learned to swim and I couldn't be happier. Good luck with the new addition. Boys and girls do scrap.:D

BILL.

Yeah we are working on that. My daughter was swimming when she was 3 that's just a must when you live on the water. It's funny because that's the only thing he's afraid of. Even with the floaties on he won't go in over his head without a lot of coaxing. But we will get there with some time and patience. Considering what he's been thru it's amazing he's in as good a shape as he is.

Great looking boy Brian - God Bless you, your wife and your daughter for opening up your hearts to this lucky little guy. There's no finer thing you can do in this life. He'll probably know more about boats by the time he's 10 then I know now having you as a father.

Those are really fine things you did there, building the toy and building up a young man.

Hatts off to ya'!

Thanks for the kind words. It is pretty amazing how much he's improved in just 2 months. I guess when your that young and bounced from one place to another satability and a little love goes a long way.
