Hatteras Model
45' CONVERTIBLE-Series II (1984 - 1992)
Looking to replace my NS 952 with a stand alone 10 to 14 inch plotter. Is there no company that just makes a plotter. Furuno/Northstar/Ray/Garmin. All have them but I think I am paying for the networking of Radar and depth sounder???????????????????????????????

Thanks Gina Marie

I believe Garmin makes such a stand-alone GPS Plotter, I think it is the 2200 Series, e.g., the 2210 is the 10" screen version, the 2206, the 6" version, etc. This model series does not network.

I have been tempted to get one because I DO NOT want a networked version. I prefer my RADAR as a stand-alone and my Back-up GPS stand-alone. I would like a large GPS/Plotter to drive my autopilot although.

Since Garmin has upgraded their line of GPS/Plotters you may be able to find one of these at a savings?

I just bought a Garmin 3210. The locals sell it for about $2000 but I got it on e-bay for under $1700.

Stand alone or network capable.

I recently just bought a Norht Star M84, 10inch display, yes you can hook up radar and a bottom machine, fuel inputs, and a camera. I just want the plotter and the camera, for the engine room.
I generally buy Furuno stuff buthe plotters have not been updated in a while and I did not want to spend alot of coin for the Nav Net.
Check it out.

Furuno makes a stand alone Plotter or you can link it in the future. I think its the 1700 series.

My 192C Garmin has NEVER let me down in 3 years. It has ALL coastwise and great lakes charts base loaded. ( inland rivers need uploading ). Otherwise NONE to buy sperately. It is by far the best $ 700 Ive ever spent !! EXTREMELY user friendly too. There is a new model that has the temp/speed Tducer. I think there is only one model with the base loaded charts tho...
Right now the unit is rigged to be portable, but my gas boat has the ICOM GPS antenna hard wired and the unit works with that perfectly. ( ICOM was a pos and BOAT US refunded 100% and I bought the Garmin! ) ws

We have the Garmen 2210C and you can add a bottom finder if you like. The update is the 3210C https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?pID=390
It has been a good unit so far, I am going to add the bottom feature to it and remove 1 of my other 2. I like being able to see the depth and the chart in 1 place.

We have a "Sitex" "Fishplot 10" and really like it. They also have a 12" model.

A little off topic perhaps, but. The screen on my Raymarine C 120 got badly scratched from incorrect cleaning (a long story), I got it back yesterday after having the screen replaced and the bill, $ 780.00!

The garmin 3210 can be used as a chart plotter only.

You might try going online to www.boemarine.com and email Jim for what you are looking for. Great service, best prices online. Tax free if you are not in Maryland

I bought two identical Standard Horizon CP1000C chartplotters. One for the helm and one for the bridge. It has the TFT LCD which is sunlight readable and you only need one set of chart chips. If you go from the helm to the bridge, you just take the chip with you, and you can leave both chartplotters up and running and hot swap the chip. I like it lots. They were about $1500 each.
