One week ago today PrezBO said:
“Those of us who manage the public's dollars will be held to account - to spend wisely, reform bad habits, and do our business in the light of day - because only then can we restore the vital trust between a people and their government.”
By not withdrawing Timothy Geithner’s name from the Treasury nomination Obama has bankrupted his platform of “Change”, and severely eroded what little confidence he may have had with moderates.
In case you were not aware, Timothy Geithner failed to pay Social Security and Medicare taxes in 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004. And after the IRS audited him, he paid his 2003 and 2004 taxes, but paid his 2001 and 2002 taxes only after he was nominated to be Treasury Secretary.
It depresses me to no end how the masses couldn’t wait to elect BO and now so willingly shrug off his gross irresponsibility in the first week in office. We all know that had a Republican nominee done this he would have been crucified by the press and staunchly opposed by Democrats in the House.
This is representative of the kind of “Change” you are going to see more of. What’s more frightening is that this is the kind of misguided irresponsible leadership that you are going to witness time and again for the next 4 years, especially while we are entering one of the worst downturns in eight decades!
But hey, he is after all a great orator! (Don’t you feel better?)
If you don’t understand the Obama concept of change? Take this simple test:
Can you spell the “straw” in strawberry? (ok do it)
Can you spell the “van” in vanilla?
Now can you spell the f**k in change?
I think you are catching on!
