Cancun Charter Boats - January 2007

I will be in Cancun at the end of January with a business group. I need to charter a boat(s) to do a couple of days of sailfishing. These are clients so the boats need to be nice and able to accommodate 4-6 men.

We are staying at the Dreams Resort in Cancun so I am guessing that Marina Hacienda Del Mar would be close. Is Isla Mujeres too far away?

I have fished Cancun during the March sail bite on local boats in the past but it has been quite a few years. Any suggestions or recommendations on boats to charter or locations is appreciated.

I'm glad you brought this up. I'll be back in Cancun this coming February and am thinking about doing some fishing, too. Last year we just put in a week of eat/drink, sober up...eat/drink, sober up...etc for six days. We usually do some snorkeling, scuba, etc but last year was just a big relax-type week.

The fleet looked better last year than I remembered it a few years back, so you should find a few choices, I would think. If you find something that is not posted here, please post your findings, too.
