If it is a Galley Made, then recall that the pump has 2 ends. One pumps water into the bowl, the other sucks the bowl contents and send to holding tank. So it's quite possible, if not probable, that the rubber stator on the shoo shoo ( it's a technical term) end needs to be replaced. Replacing the rotor/stator is an easy DIY job. SAMS has the parts.

Seriously, does anyone here know if the Atlantes Freedom will tolerate muriatic acid?

Yes it will I told you that I used muriatic in mine back in Greenport last year :p

I think you may have had one or two at that point so I will give you a pass

I do it every year its part of maintenance I put some in a bucket then fill with fresh water then dump it in the bowl let it sit 5 minutes then flush.

Dave was with us I wonder if he remembers ;)

Had this problem on all four heads. I rebuilt all of them and replaced all the hoses. I used standard SCS 40 PVC flex pipe and SCS 40 PVC fittings this eliminated all but four hose clamps. Hear are some pic's of one of the better pumps. Had one that was closed to 1/8" on discharge side. I even found a Pecos in one of the pumps. I guess that was payment for rebuild :cool:DSCF1376.webpDSCF1378.webpDSCF1375.webp
