Bringing back the Hatteras OEM dinette.

Our 1981 43' DCFB was delivered from the factory with a dinette on the forward port side of the main salon.

The PO removed it to enlarge the main salon. My wife and I love having a dinette and we are considering building it back in place.

We are located in Chesapeake, Virginia and I would like any recomendations on a yard or individual to restore the dinette and handrails to the original Hatteras design. I do not mind taking the boat elsewhere as long as it is not to far.

If this is small enough to load in a truck, bring it here for Eric Jans to do it, would be my suggestion. I don't know anyone down there, unfortunately.

Load what in a truck? I got the impression the original dinette was removed by the PO and he wants one built.

Sorry about that. What I meant was have it built here, and then truck it to VA and install it. Not thinking clearly.

Jans could do it and there is a sample boat at Piney to pull measurements from.

He would be my first choice. He knows exactly what he is doing, and he's been on enough of these boats to know what the original builders were doing, too.
