Had the MaxPower Thruster shear a pin last summer in the driveleg. Finally was able to haul it out and replace it. I forgot how big these boats are, very cool! 62000 lbs.
Had to cut off the old blades, not too bad and the lower unit came out with the help of leverage and a 2x4. Cleaned the mating surface all up and sealed it back into place. Back in the water Friday AM.
On the way back to my slip I ran her up and was hitting 20-21 kts with the clean bottom and smooth water. Really had a chance to play with the trim tabs, small as they are they do move the bow 1- 2.5 feet or so. It was planing well either way, bow up or down. I wish I'd had a camera boat.
Dang I'm sideways!
