Hauled unto the aft flybridge chocks of a 65 footer with Marquipt 1000 lb capacity davit ? Best I can tell the boat weights 650 lbs, motor 214 lbs...but with some fuel and "stuff" might be approaching the capacity of the davit.

Rather have 12 foot RIB CC inflatable but there are better deals out there on the BW Dauntless 13's.
Anyone here have hard tenders on their flybridge but wish it was, or changed to an inflatable ? If so, is this due to the difficulty of swinging the heavier hard tender around and/or the danger of the boat clanging into the side of the mother ship as it goes up or down ?

OTOH, anyone here previously with a RIB inflatable that has changed over to a bit heavier hard tender and glad you did so ?

I have a 1984 52C and recently switched from a 12.5' RIB to a 14.5' Scout center console. Love the Scout! The weight went from about 350lbs to over 800lbs. I replaced the old 1/4" winch cable with new 5/16 SS with a working load of 6000lbs to be safe. The only problem I have is that now the brake built into the winch motor is not holding when I let go of the "up" button. I just got a schematic from the motor manufacturer and am going to try taking it apart and trying to fix the brake. Don't have a problem pulling it over the rail other than having to keep juicing the up button to keep it up while trying to pull it on board. It's a 2 person job right now.

Went from a 12 rib to a 12 Rigid Boat which looks like a rib but is all fiberglass. I am very happy. It performs great, has lots of storage inside the tubes and I don't have to worry about air pressure. And has a built in fuel tank in the bow.

Had a 13' Whaler with 25HP Yamaha. It was not easy to load or unload and added unnecessary weight. I took it off and am currently researching inflatables. Just wasn't worth keeping the Whaler up top.

I was afraid of that. Any idea what your Whaler and OB weighed ? 700 lbs maybe ? I wonder what a 12 foot CC w/ steering, RIB with 40 hp 4 stroke OB would weigh ?

Get a V-hull with a Yamaha and be done with it.....
