The flybridge is nestled down in the cockpit. Prior to shrink-wrap, I removed the fuel tank from the stern, pulled the flybridge out of the cockpit, put the fuel tank in it's proper location and then set the flybridge back in the cockpit again. Howard

As a continuation of the "Pizzazz Sold" thread, I just wanted to chime in and say
That Kismet sold last week! She will take on a new name and has gone to a great new owner whom has had many previous Hatts. I know he'll love her and she's in great hands.

So it appears well priced Hatteras's, listed with knowledgeable brokers (Eric sold mine) are finding ready and able buyers. Thanks to Eric for making the deal happen!

Our quest begins for our next boat, but we're in no hurry. With travel plans abroad most of the summer, it appears I'll be scouring the BoatTrader and Yachtworld sites for months to come. "What's next?" Honestly I don't really know. Something smaller and much faster, that's or sure. There just aren't enough free weekends to "cruise", so getting from Point A to Point B as fast as possible is a determining factor. Hopefully the list will include a Hatteras as I've loved this site and the helpful people here. I've made many friends here. Some I've met and enjoyed a few dinners and cocktails with, others via phone or email...but you're all part of my family now.

I'll continue to frequent the forum on occasion and contribute my limited knowledge if possible.

All the best,
Jeff
Hi-congrats--I have a 43 DC I am thinking of selling --should I contact Eric? My Number is 252-732-5376 . Good luck on your next.

If I were to sell it I'd be priced below 75% of the listings. .... because I'm realistic about what it's worth.

Can you expand on that for me Jack? (and other members, please)
75% of listing - does listing mean from Original List Price by Manufacturer/Dealer when new?
Is it available? - the list pricing when new from Hatteras for various models.
75% - does that consider year of mfg as well, or primarily great condition?
If it was 50% of list, would that be like... good condition? or perhaps older boat too?
(I guess year & condition go hand in hand... comment?)

I like this % depreciation concept for evaluation of Hatteras, I'd like to learn it and use it better so any further insights on its applicability would be appreciated. (It is unlike typical cars & machinery).

Also, please consider; using the above formula to arrive at an offer to purchase.... before closing, surveys completed and shows a $20,000 investment is immediately needed - how is the previously offered $ adjusted (typically)?

lol... One more thing, can ya provide some percentages to the following with considering age:
Pristine
Very good
Better than average
Average
Below average
Project ( I'll give this a value to me of 0%)
