Going back to the original ask - don't the high dollar yards down in Stuart/Ft Pierce area offer a "Huricane Package"? You pay (through the nose) to be on their preferred list, in the event of a storm, they haul you, tie down, monitor, etc. For example, the Hinkley yard in Stuart, several others up the river? Some even have enclosed barns right?

I have assumed that is about the only true "management" there is. Everything else is do it yourself as best you can. I have not crossed the bridge on what will the insurance company accept as a plan. Once I saw the 15% named storm deductible from BoatUS, I ran like a squirrel from my latest plans.

FWIW, I grew up on coast of NC and highly recommend the "run while you can, as fast as you can" approach. My family has lost houses, boats, etc. via storms and the flooding that followed, starting with Hazel back in 50's. (I can recite the stories from memory!) NO material possession is worth the misery of trying to stay there and fight it yourself. Good rule of thumb I use - If I can't afford to loose it without too much pain, I probably should not have it.

There are a number of yards in this area with hurricane plans. The indoor storage is generally by the season.. I did that last year. I'm not sure they will take care of enclosures etc.
