What is the deal with this boat? I have never seen one but I thought the shape was odd.

A friend had something similar, though smaller. It was a 34' Fisher. She had a similar enclosed portugese bridge, and was ice rated by Lloyds. Incredibly heavily built boat designed to visit the land of icebergs, and make it home.

Looks like it was inspired by a fishing schooner. Originally the low sides were probably for pulling nets aboard.

This boat sat in boot key harbor in feb. of last winter. Even up close it looked ready to go anywhere. A nice looking boat (although not as nice as a hatt. Bill
