Not Currently A Hatteras Owner
Saw this boat last weekend down at isle of palms, sc. Don't know if owner is a forum member. Very nice boat. Would love to know who did the extended swim platform and who painted the hull.

They are sexy aren't they... I know I'm in lust.

That said, I HATE the darn square green house on the top..... just kills the lines. M plan is a simple bimini, and it'll be down when I'm not up there, with a nice cover over the controls.

One of you may be buying a complete enclosure....

Looks like a custom flybridge and PH doors. Nicely done.

City Girl is Bob and Jackie's boat. BTW Jackie is our new Hatteras Classic Club president. I do believe they are on the HOF. She's a lovely boat with some very nice custom work.

An additional BTW - Bob and Jackie own a boatyard.

Thank you for the comments. We own City Girl and also Tidewater Yacht Service in Baltimore where all of the work was done.

I don't think I have seen an inflatable inside the rails as City Girl is. That's quite lift to deploy, unless the rails can be removed.

I love how the platform is integrated into the hulk. Very very nicely done

i ve stopped at tidewater many times, friendly staff and great fuel price

Great job on the swim platform!
What would that job cost at Tidewater?
I am sure others here would like one.
Capt. Rob

Haven't looked at the cost for the platform as it was finished just prior to leaving Baltimore early Nov. will price it out in the spring when we return. It also houses a 12" ABT thruster. Now Jackie can take all the time she needs getting the dock lines deployed.

I was walking the dock at Fernandina Beach City Marina when I spotted a beautiful 53 Hatt. As I got closer, I realized it was City Girl and also how pristine this boat was. As I was admiring it the owner came out and I had the pleasure to meet and talk for a while with Bob Brandon. He gave me the background on the boat and then went over everything that was repaired & updated (everything...!). After seeing it in person, I was amazed at the fit & finish and the paint was flawless. It was like looking at a new boat out of the factory. Seeing the improved swim platform up close certainly looks like it was a factory original.

Always great to meet a forum member and to see the results of their labor of love with a classic Hatteras. Here are a couple of pictures which don't do it justice.

Art, It was a pleasure meeting and talking with you. Thank you for your kind comments, I will share them with our crew at Tidewater.

Very nicely done!

Question for the owners. The profile shows your MY as a 1971. They were built with three port holes in the stern. This MY looks like my 1978. Did you have new larger port holes added or is this a different boat than what's listed. Could you post more photos of her? You guys have done some great additions and I would love to see more.

1979, sorry you think I would know what year my boat was. Dah!

You can still see the small port in the center behind the ladder. Obviously the larger ports were added. She looks great.

Good catch Sky. I enlarged the photo and there it was. I noticed she did not have a bow pulpit. But she did have the fly bridge wind screen facing out like mine. They have done a ton of upgrades. Would love to see the interior.

Hoping to bring back an old thread!

Bob, could you share any more photo or info on your quarter fender swim platform integration?
Very nice.

I also got to meet you guys when we had our Nordic Tug in Solomons. Yes your boat is beautiful. We also did the larger ports on the stern. Mine are Freeman’s got them from Sam’s best thing about adding them was we got rid of that stupid deck hatch on the aft deck.
