Hey all, looking to add a Victron Battery monitor. I have 2 32VDC battery banks, a starting bank

for the starboard engine back at 170 AH, and a Port house/engine start bank at 340 AH.

I have an outback inverter installed as well.

my question, in this set up where would I install the shunt? The Neg. for both banks are wired

together..

Ken

Plural. Shunts. You can't use just one.

I'm a victim distributor. I'll be back next week if you need to talk before you buy the wrong stuff.

Scott,
I bought the Victron 702.. I will be spending the summer on a mooring and I want to be able to check my battery condition. You mention two shunts, It sounds like you are saying I need a separate shunt for each battery bank. Both bank grounds (neg ) are now tied together..

I treat both banks as one for charging thru the outback.. I do have a battery switch to select which bank goes to the inverter, although normally I run them both..
