  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
43' DOUBLE CABIN (1970 - 1984)
The Main electric panel ( 43 DC 1983 ) has red indicator lights for the battery charger and the water heater. A few months ago the charger indicator light started blinking on occasion, but usually staying on while the breaker was on. Recently the light started staying off and occasionally blinking. Before I begin testing I'd like to see if any of you have dealt with and found the cause of this problem.

Thanks for your comments.

Either a bad light, bad switch or a bad wire. The light is the only one that's not dangerous.

Mine has orange lights for the power source selector and green lights below for the different circuits.

None of the lights stay on continuously. They change based on the load.

Same result in the other panel, not shown. When my battery charger quit that light no longer came on. Now that it is replaced, that light varies based on load.

On my 1979 43DC both of those lights burn steady. They begin to flicker when about to burn out. To test, put in a new bulb. BTW - I bought mine from WW Grainger by the dozen.

Thanks
I will try the bulb first.
