Hatteras Model
36' CONVERTIBLE-Series I (1969 -1977)
I sea-trialled my rig yesterday , Went shark fishing out of OC, MD. The new rudders are awesome, the boat is much more responsive, it turns on a dime and gives a quarter back in change. Plus we managed to Capture the First Thresher Shark brought in to OC this year :) , it weighed in at 180 Pounds.
All in all the New Rudders Are great.

JW, would you mind posting dimensions of these? I might do this in the future.

JW, Where do you keep the boat in OC, I'm in Berlin every week and often at Sunset Marina with friends.

Jim ,
I do not have the dimensions. If you want a set, I can probably get you a set, Branch still has my pattern and one of my rudders, however he works his own schedule. Keep in mind if you haven't done it yet you should replace the rudder ports, the new ones should last another 36 years . Buck has them!!!

Whaler,
I am over at Fisherman's on the T-pier, 5th slip on the left. Usually there from happy hour on thursday till monday.

And as far as the strange rumbling I had at 800 rpm's, It turned out that My Austral propellers are Bored Crooked, just about a 1/8 inch. I put my spare Hy-torques on and the noise went away, Just now have to have tweaked to get a few more turns at WOT and I think the problem is solved.

Hope everyone had a great holiday Weekend.
