Can you enlighten me as to who Hess is?
That would be the Amerada-Hess oil company. We did some work on their tugs on a few occasions. Even though we sent the billing to a different corporation, the green, gold and white colors gave away the identity of the parent company (that, plus the crew told us). But I'd doubt if they have a patent on the colors, so I was just taking a guess.

I dont think that steamship colors are "owned" but the stack colors are respected... ZENITH has a black stack with a white band and red borders; reminiscent of a "grossen kriegsmarine kapitan" uniform's colors.LOL ws

Thanks Bill !! So far no "freedom" bird sightings,
I saw that that you missed that the first time But the Bird himself did not :D
yachtsmanbill I just checked out the EOTL website... nice job on that, but not nearly as nice as the boat job...WOW!!! Sure hope the HATT TRICK turns out as nice! ws
Thanks Bill been a long 5 years, this is the first winter of not working on it EVERY DAY instead have to work at home making up for 5 years of neglect :(

Hey dan-- you really do have something to be proud of... I really need to put a website together; my ISO teaches the stuff but I cant get her to help me...YET!
I too did a 5 year resto on my roamer and the house fell apart, and I had to fire 2 wives!! ws

LOL I spent all my money on the boat so I can't afford to fire her :D Figured it easier to work on the house BUT only when boat is out of the water :p well 3 1/2 months to go then I am done one way or another!!!

Yea man-- sometimes its "cheapertokeepher" If I get the "sub" up here in the spring, I think I may take up permanent residency on her. Who said obscurity is a bad thing?? ws

WEEEEEE !! Figgered out pic sizing !! ws

Spouses come and go, but the boats MUST remain. It's funny, I run into divorce situations in my business, but it's rare, like almost never that the wife ends up with the boat.

Willie, from the looks of the "waterline" in the cabin on one of those pictures from yesterday, the sub took a roll with her dive. Good work getting her back up and running. I'm not sure I'd be up for a task like that myself. I have seen the pics of your Roamer, she is sweet!

Funny story related to that.

Couple of years ago I go by a 60ish Hatt Sportfish here in the Harbor. Damn gorgeous - looked like a new boat. At the helm was one of the HOTTEST women I've seen in a long time in these parts (the boat didn't hurt her attractiveness to me either!)

The name on the transom?

"I Got His"

I about fell off the bridge I was laughing so hard...... :)

Hey Karl--she look this good?? Shes in my will for the boat! Need those fleetgaurd numbers for fuel and lube oil spin on conversions. ws

Bill, you don't even need motors on that boat. If you can just position the dogs out there on the bridge so that their ears will catch the wind, you ought to be good for hull speed at least.....can they hear well with those sails? :D

Those guys have 20/20 hearing-- the old one has selective hearing loss though when ya call him and hes on the trail of wildlife, or the CAT. Just mention "wanna go to the boat" and both aural canals are wide open ! ! ws
