Rustybucket once you get the bugs worked out I wonder if you could sell your service. I for one would be interested in a set up similiar to yours. I wouldn’t care that much about monitoring the water level Or fuel but the engine data would interest me. I forgot to mention monitoring the water flow going to the shower head. That would be a great early overheat warning. Also Genny monitoring as well. I admire your ability create such a setup. I am clueless when it comes to technology.

I doubt I would ever sell anything, the project is open source on GitHub. I just don't think the market for this type of product is large enough to warrant a business. Once everything is finalized I'll tidy up the step-by-step manual/instructions so it will be as easy as possible to implement.

I probably only have about $300-$400 in parts in my entire setup, and that's with dev parts figured in. Once the instructions/guide are cleaned up I would imagine a person could setup this system on their boat for somewhere around $200 with most of the money going into sensor wire and sensors.

I also plan to carry a spare cpu with me. So if the main were to go down during a trip it would be a simple matter of unplug old cpu, plug new in and everything would be back online. A spare cpu only costs approx $50.

Could the display be programmed to scroll through pages for all of the displays? On my Raymarine MFDs I have one set to scroll through my engine room cameras.
