Hopefully deep enough no shaft/strut damage

Just went through there on Sunday, did not see it then, but lots of boats that I wished were in that position. It a great place to Danzig on a weekend if you don’t want to be waked constantly by multi engine center consoles. John

Viking not a hatt.

I'll readily admit I thought it was a 52 when I first saw it but recognized it wasn't later. Turns out the guy was using his AP interfaced with his plotter on an auto route, and he left the helm...

DUH!!!

A fellow HOF'er is very familiar with this guy and how he runs his boat, so let's just say karma finally caught up with him.

Is this on the ICW? I had the "opportunity" to witness some strange corrections made by boats on AP along the ICW. Fortunately there were people at the helm. I called them to see what was up and they responded with indications that were using the AP. About the only time I used the AP I was on a course for an extended period of time, like crossing the stream. This dude is lucky no one was killed.

That woke him up! ouch!

Apparently autopilot does not have collision detection, or automatic braking!!

I don't think it's a Viking either, looks like a Tesla to me.

Maybe he knows this guy ?

I took these at the entrance of New Harbor out at Block Island, Labor Day weekend.
It appeared they were beached on purpose, although most people would bring the tender to the beach and leave the Hatteras safe on the mooring.
