Hatteras Model
Not Currently A Hatteras Owner
I think I found my boat! Anyone know anything about it? Looks like the previous owner did a few minor alterations but i think it looks cool. I am SO excited:

Hahaha! Just kidding. I hope this isn't anyone's boat here. If so, sorry. Sorry for making fun of it and sorry you surely have lost obscene amounts of money on the project. One thing is for sure...never seen another hatt like it.

Photo 8 looks good...the rest is embarrassing. This boat has been up on this site before. Whoever would do this to a defenseless Hatteras ought to be keelhauled. Twice.

We actually discussed this one...someone knew some of the story behind it:

We'd have to take a vote on whether you could stay if you bought that one!

Ed,
I can see you are in love with this boat as much as I am since you started the other thread. Maybe we can go in together on her as a joint venture. I think all she really lacks is a disco ball in the salon and we should be ready to go! I think this boat was also on that new TV show, "Pimp my Hatt"

somebody please put that thing out of its' misery! It hurts my eyes to look at it.

Does that "submarine" of Yachtsmanwillie's carry ordnance?! :D

Looks like something that friend of Chris and Carl's might own, what was his name??? Freebase, or something like that :D :D

Make a nice floating condo for 200k. Hummmmmm, If I could get it up here to the frozen northeast I'd be all set the next time the g-friend throws me out.

Hey Woodsong, while I agree that the boat is a discrace to the Hatteras name, but EASY on the disco ball reference please! I actually own a 16" motorized disco ball that I bring out on special occasions. Believe it or not, there are STILL appropriate times for a disco ball to make an appearance. I hang it from the half tower on the flybridge when we are in party mode! Talk about a BLAST! It cracks people up. They LOVE it! :D

You crazy Cajun! Doing that to a pretty boat like a 58YF. Shame on you! :D

I belive its called the "MV embarrasment"

Hey, it is easier to list times when a disco ball is NOT appropriate than when it is since they always are apropriate.

Ed just sent me a PM. He told me is in fact interested in this boat. I think he and I are going to move on this one before she gets away!

If you buy it, we'll take up a collection to make it look like a Hatteras again.
Mind you, this won't be easy.

I can assure you that Ed would never live to sign the check on the purchase of that.

Dear me.....we seem to have hit a nerve here. Ang, that boat needs help. YOUR boat and MY boat would want us to help that boat, don't you think? If we don't, who will? (answer, no sane person)

Paul45C: Don't knock it 'til you've tried it! I sure don't hang the disco ball up there while cruising, or for looks at all. It merely assists in getting the ladies relaxed and into party mode so they can loose their inhibitions. The dance parties aboard Sweet Melissa are legendary around these parts. We tend to throw down pretty hard here in Cajun Country!

Woodsong: SO TRUE!

Here and I thought the aft deck and all those steps would be perfect for a flowing fountain...just mount a wash-off on the top of the bridge and turn it on. Shine some soft blue lights through the splashing and be the talk of the harbor :p , provided the USCG doesn't pull you over....

Watch out I herd he's become a lurker out there in the deep space of the internet  and has changed his name :D

Highest and best use of that boat would be as a floating condo in the keys at 150k price..

I wonder if they would take $100K? It does need an extraordinary amount of repair. Well, maybe $85K would be a better offer.

That poor gal is pleading to be an artificial reef somewhere, making her useful again.

You know, I've seen more disco balls on boats than I care to reflect on. Misty doens't have one, yet, but they seem to be standard equipment on the houseboats in my marina.

There is a place (boat) and time (after many cocktails) in which they do seem appropriate, isn't there?
