  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model

It was in my stb engine room by the pins would make me believe that it has to do with the boarding ladders. Sorry the pictures are sideways.

Toss it out. Within 2 weeks you will figure out that you need it and what it's for. Works every time.

Told you John. LOL

could it be the base to hold a fiberglass battery box in place?

Two feet and the pins. Looks like it’s part of a boarding ladder or maybe a bracket to hold the ladder.

Ladder extender?

How about I send it to you and you send me something you’re not sure about and we wait two weeks to see what happens?😎

I can send you randy.

Now that’s funny

I have the same square aluminum bracket holding down my hot water tank, top and bottom attached with threaded rod. It doesn't have the pins on top.
see if it fits over your water heater

I couldn't get it over the pipes/hoses to use it as a holddown. 4175599L.webp

That still doesn’t explain why there are two brackets from a Marquipt ladder on it.

Exactly. I spoke to a dockmate who said the original owner was a real tinkerer and had a lot of little custom things made up. I'm convinced this is one of them. I'll stick it in storage until I realize I need it. That's close to the throw it out and wait two weeks right?
