The blues don't stop biting until November.
And, the tog will bite thru early December. Anyone who thinks that the season ends on Labor Day obviously never has spent a 50 degree November day anchored over a wreck with the cabin structure breaking the wind and the sun in your face while doing a bale job on the tog.
In all honesty, October is my favorite month to be on the water, perhaps because so many PWCs, sailboats, SeaRays, and Bayliners have already pulled.
As of Labor Day, there remains a solid month of warm water (yes, I consider 70 warm) diving, the fishing is just starting to heat up, and the leaves will be turning color in about 4 weeks making for a gorgeous ride up the Conn River.
Dave, where are you? My electric bill for running the AC last month was $230 and I'm in north Baltimore. But, Florida is just a few weeks away. Well, maybe 6 weeks as we are going to run at 8 knots.luckydave215 said:On the other hand, we only run our air conditioning a few days a year, and then only to make sure it still works.

Boss Lady said:I don't know what it is but the shorter days have already affected my mood. I have not been able to spend much time on the water this year, and Boss Lady is already 4 months behind. I have already decided to move Boss Lady south when she gets back in the water for the winter. The only way to get my summer back! How far south I have not decided yet, any good recommendations out there?
