I am about to install new trim-tab mounted Led lights to replace the halogen ones I installed about 7 years ago. What is everyone doing about antifouling to the (1) housing and (2) the lenses of these lights to make it simpler to maintain?
I have used just plain antifouling in the past with nothing on the lens at all. This provided limited success. BTW my boat is in Trinidad, so the barnacle problem here is extreme ( hence the name of the Petit product!).

For the lenses, I always use vaseline. I glob it on and smooth out. Housing I just use the antifoul paint thats on the hull.

Use antifouling wax and reapply often.

Vaseline- good idea! It could be re-applied underwater easily!

Here in the upper Chesapeake Bay area, I apply beginning of the season and dont have an issue. I do get some slime on the lense but just scrub off. Never reapply during the season.

I use just the Propspeed clear
