Looks nasty Should lose intensity crossing Florida as it’s not over the water in the Everglades

Wilma came across in 05 and never lost much.

Mad beach is right in the path. Not wishing misery on anyone else but I hope it goes south. Less flooding and I just probably buy a new enclosure and top now rather than in a year or 2. But crap, I don’t want to wish this on anyone else. Still up north watching from afar. Can’t really lose much more at the house. So not worried about that.

It just sucks. I m tired of all this after 30+ years and I m definitely moving my 53 to Tn next spring. Going marina hunting later on this month.

I have three boats to take care off… my 53, my little sailboat and the boat I run. Way too much to worry about.

Some areas in TN just got their asp's handed to them. A friend on real high ground just got their power back.
Thank goodness the TVA saw it coming and started dumping their lakes in a hurry.

Brother Pascal, Ever been up the StJohns River?

A couple of years ago we looked at land around ocala, close to the St John, realized it is even hotter than miami in summer. More thunderstorms too… we want cooler weather and no hurricane risk.

Reason we picked Eastern TN is that it is navigable from the gulf and Watts Bar Lake is huge. It is also managed by the TVA so no flooding risks. Very low tornado risk as well.

Eventually we ll build and move there in a couple of years, just tired of miami. We enjoy our work and if it wasn’t for that, we d be gone already. Things are just too crazy down here now, it s gotten really bad in the last 4 years. Oh, and my dockage just went up 25%!

Looks like landfall will coincide with King Tides possibly making things even worst.

Yep, really going to depend if we end up being north or south of landfall. Like you, I don't wish misery on anyone but....I am hoping it stays as far south as possible. Up until Helene they were notoriously inaccurate in their predictions this far out but they were very accurate with Helene. If that holds true again we are in big trouble in Pinellas County. It's gonna go where it wants to go. Best of luck to all in its path.

If you should need anything in Nashville, let me know? I am a few minutes from the Airport and have a extra car.

Thanks. We re really focusing on eastern TN, ideally Watts Bar just south of Knoxville or possibly around Chattanooga if they have wait list on Watts Bar

Milton just upgraded to cat 1. 11am has shifted south just a little bit.

This guy has excellent video. Been following him for years, detailed explanations, no frills and no drama.
