Thought I would pass these pics and the process along on how I have made the base units for the helm chairs on Boss Lady.
The first step which is not seen here, is laying up the teak sections. I used West System epoxy and number 20 biscuits to join these planks. I wrapped the squares in saran wrap to keep the excess epoxy off my clamps .
The ran the dry squares through the planner to remove the squeeze out of epoxy.
Next I fastened the blanks to the table top, then marked the center, and using a jig , routed a perfect circle.
