Another davit- folding booms!

If this was just another davit, I wouldn't post, and I do apologize to those of you who don't need to see another davit. This one is installed on a late 46' Carver aft cabin and is unique in that there were a number of design parameters. The pickup points had to be narrow enough for a 10' dinghy, but the base had to wide enough to clear the swim platform storage box. There also needed to be enough lift height for safe sailing in a following sea, but not enough to obscure the name. Also, folding booms to facilitate access to the entire swim platform. And finally, the dog needed to be able to negotiate the steps with the dinghy in the raised position.This was the result (in 2 posts).

Very good design that should do the job. The pictures brought back memories of my years on Lake Lanier and I loved your reference to "following seas". That lake is very calm except when the weekend drinkers stir it up.

I forgot to mention that the owner is moving to Florida with the intention of doing the Loop and other cruising.
