Anchorage near Naples?

Do any of you know if there any interesting anchorages within 40NM of Naples far a 53MY?

Been to Keewaydin a couple of times. Maybe this will help, but I'm sure you can find it on your charts.

I can find it all, but it's a very long island. Did you go to the inside somewhere via Capri Pass? Where is the actual anchorage?

We anchored a 46 Grand Banks quite comfortably just inside Hurricane / Little Marco Pass north of Marco. This was about 5 years ago You couldn't come in the pass itself, needed to come around via Capris pass then north a bit and back down along Keywadin. Really nice beach right there, we enjoyed it. Play the tide right and the trip up to Naples along the inside is pretty. I know others have anchored in places adjacent to Rookery Bay, but I have no direct experience with that.

Yes, it was on the inside near Isles of Capri. We took Guzman's 67 in there several times and anchored off an area where lots of smaller boats were pulled onto the shore. It's been a while, so I can't remember specifics. I'll see if I can find it.

I've been there as well. You can approach via the ICW from the north from Naples or from the south from Marco. It is deep there. You won't have any problems.

If you want to travel further north, you can come in at Big Carlos Pass and head north. There are a couple of good spots behind Estero Island.

No, we're just staying with boating friends on their 53 ft. Krogen Express, which is similar to a 53MY. Is the anchoring spot at the far South end of Keewaydin Island in between that and Little Marco Island?

Thanks - I did look at ActiveCaptain. It appears that you just anchor in Little Capri Pass in between Keewaydin Island and Little Marco Island? Seems like a lot of small to medium boat traffic goes right through there. I was just looking for someone who had anchored around the area and had knowledge of where to go that was interesting.

You found the spot. It is only really accessible from the ICW. Small boats do use that pass some but not much. The shelling is really good there with a really nice beach.
