Where are you guys purchasing your Analytic Systems Charger? MY Pro Mariner 32V has given up and I need to get a new charger. Seems there are some options availible, but I cant seem to find a website that has them available with the Digital Readout, remote control and second battery sensor. Help would be appreciated.

analyticsystems.com

I bought mine through www.mdspower.com. Cost was a total of $1,032.00 (which included shipping) for the charger and the remote.

I am ordering an Analytic Charger as well and appreciate the lead on mds power. I am going to add the coating as well. From reading your posts they (factory) ended up throwing it in as a comp. Do you remember what the dipping cost was? I got a quote from a local supplier in Stuart but they wanted 1450.00 incl. shipping which was not in the budget.

Let me get you the names and emails for MDS power and for contact at Analytic. Ed got the guys at Analytic to agree that the conformal coating should not be an "option" for a "marine" product and they had some discussion about making that part of the standard manufacturing process for the equipment they advertise as "marine". So, there may not be an extra charge if I get you to the right person. We're celebrating the Mermaid's birthday this evening, so it may be tomorrow before I'll have time to go get that info. Stay tuned....

Angela,
That woudl be great. I need to get a charger ASAP. I dont have any way to charge my house bank other than to go start the engine. Thats not much fun when you want to have a party at the dock and have to run the engines to keep the battery charged.

Just a heads up that the Analytic chargers are built to order and take 3 weeks to be manufactured and shipped according to mds power today.

They may take 3 weeks, but I dont have much choice unless someone around here has a used 32 volt charger to sell me. There are not a lot of options out there for 32v and i am not sure the options are much better than the Analytic Systems.

You boat has no charger at all? What happened to the old one, or was there ever a charger on board? Sounds odd...

The old one died. Won't output DC voltage. Pro mariner says they won't repair it.

I dealt with Riccardo Ienaro (rienaro@mdspower.com) at MDS Power. At Analytic, my contact there about the coating is Bruce (brucej@analyticsystems.com). I’m not sure whether you can buy the charger directly from Analytic - you might want to ask Bruce. If you have to purchase through one of their dealers, then you may want to speak with Bruce first, anyway, about what they are doing with the coating and whether they are still calling it an “option”. The dealer wasn’t a part of those conversations Ed and Bruce had and may not be up to speed if Analytic has changed the manufacturing process. Point is - don’t pay extra for the coating IF it’s now included and since this may be a new way of doing it, the dealer may not know the difference.

I bought the 220v 32v battery charger. You can get that charger in 110v, too, if that’s how Hatteras made your boat. I did not opt for the meters on the front of the charger since the charger was going to be located in a far, dark corner of the genny room and I knew I wasn’t going to be checking those all the time due to their location, but you can make your own decision there. I recall that option was about $130 more. I did purchase the remote. Hope this helps.

I went ahead and ordered the Analytic Charger today. Not really thrilled about the 3 week lead time plus shipping, but if I want a smart charger I guess I dont have a lot of choices. I hope this thing is awesome because I am tired of having to go over and start the boat to keep the batteries charged.

I ordered mine as well yesterday and went with the same set up as Angela as my Hatt is also 220v. The total was a little over a grand with shipping. What I am really happy about is it only weighs 12 pounds which I hope will complete my leveling out of the hull once the La Marche is out. I am pumping iron every day to get ready for the removal!

I was wishing for the same thing, but I figured out that my list between starboard and port is attributed to the level of second holding tank (located on the starboard hullside in the genny room). Right now, I’m listing to starboard which means, it’s time to pump out. Once that’s empty, I’ll go right back to listing to port. The old La Marche charger didn’t make a bit of difference.

I already removed my ProMariner 32v and it was not fun. Its mounted outboard of the Starboard engine over the hot water heater and since I dont have stand up height in my engine room it really sucked. I am however happy that I am getting a much lighter charger to put back in!

I oredered the 220v version, but I went ahead and got the digital meters as well as the extra sensor and remote. If I am going to spend the money, I figured I may as well go for the good stuff. Its an added bonus for whoever buys the boat.

Pat,
You'll love that digital readout. It lets you know exactly what's going on at a glance.
