Hey Pappy, you gonna whip us into shape so we'll straigten up and fly right as to not embarrass the purists? It looks like another member already told you about one marina in that part of the woods. I'll pull my charts and look for more if you want. I bought a boat from a big marina near Padookey on the Ohio River, but I'll be damned if I can remember the name of it. I suggested Aqua Yacht Harbor on Pickwick just below the mouth of the Tenn/Tom because I've been there by land and sea, there is easy access, and it's a first class operation. I'd been there many years ago when it was called something else I can't even remember other than Jim Bennet sold Bluewaters there. I went there a while back thinking I may want a Bluewater for river cruising. Then I met Miss Nancy Cay, then came ole' Freebird, then Mamma said git the hell out of my house. Now river cruising is more or less off the menu as I am now wanted in two states and unwanted in another!

One thing you may want to think about if it hasn't crossed your twisted cap rest. The further north you take the sub, the more freezing weather you have to think about. That is of course based on the assumption you will need a surface slip! All jokes aside, I don't have to tell you there will be more work involved in storage while in sub-freezing climates to keep everything liquid on your 58.

Any particular reason why you are doing the bass-ackwards migration for winter?

When were done them purists will be beggin' for membership !!

Yah man -- so far its me and one pal-- but he likes livin' life on the edge.
All these blow hards here that never take their own boat out except from the dock to the lift can go on a real adventure for free but WAHHH!!! My wife wont let me; I gotta work, its too far, its too long.
Camping out for them is parking the winebago in the paved RV lot WAHH!!!

Hey Pappy, sorry it doesn't look like I'm going to be able to go on the sub run next week. I had prior obligations as the CruzDirector on the GuzCruzer.

It looked like he may weenie out on us, but he came through in the clutch. Why don't you put off subbin' and come go with us? I understand if you can't make it, but we'll have a helluva good time.

Hey, as promised, if I can find a way to be in two places at the same time, or if I get back to TN while you're coming through, maybe we can still get together. You're one of the few true fellow free-thinking Americans on this forum I haven't met in person.

I figure we could have us a fine time when we meet up. I ain't never been in jail before!
