Soupy Fog from Leland to Frankfort, attentive navigation. Michigan in the summer is a beautiful place / time to enjoy the Great Lakes.

Beautiful trip from Frankfort MI, Betsy Lake to Pentwater Snug Harbor.. Michigan has some wonderful towns, albeit after seeing the sand at the beaches on Lake Michigan I now know where ashtray sand comes from.

Spent a few days at South Haven, really nice place. Beware if the weather is coming in from the west or north west, it can became a pretty folly marina.

Yes, you can get quite a surge rolling in at South Haven. I've seen that at Grand Haven as well but to a lesser extent.

Sky you have beautiful areas off Lake Michigan and the Mackinac Straits perfect for our Hatteras’s to enjoy. I hope to come back up through and next time explore the Georgian Bay. Unfortunately unless I want to fight the mighty upper MS (I don’t) I’ll have make my way from Rogersville, AL (Joe Wheeler State Park) around the east coast. I guess we’ll have to stop in the Key and Bahamas along the way. At least that’s my dream. We’ll see.
