Acronyms usage in these forums

Ok, I have been reading these postings with great interest for awhile now, I have figured out some of the acronyms used, but many baffle me. I think I have figured out 'C' means cruiser, FB - Fly Bridge... We have a DCMY which I know.....

BUT, would some kind person list a bunch of known acronyms for those of us with a thirst for knowledge?

I believe in Hatteras terms, "C" means Convertible.

CPMY=Cockpit Motor Yacht
YF=YachtFish
MY=Motor Yacht
SF=Sport Fisher
LRC=Long Range Cruiser
TC=Triple Cabin (as in the 58 Triple Cabin), but I think it may also refer to Twin Cabin, from some time ago.
DD=Detroit Diesel, of course.

Did I miss any?

Although not a designated model, if you see a "3SR" somewhere, that would indicate 3 State Rooms (or whatever the number is before the "SR")

Just take a look at the brochures archive on the home page. It will give you EVERY designation.

Good luck with the other acronyms you'll find on here. First time I saw somebody use LOL, I though they were making a pass at me!

Then came ROFLOL, LMFAO, PITA, to name a few. I'll give you a hint, the last one ain't bread and I get called that a lot!
