  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
41' CONVERTBLE-Series II (1986 - 1991)
Anyone know where I can get a sending unit for my transmission gauge (Capitol)? Mike from Sams said it's matched to the original AC brand gauge and is no longer available. Normal operating pressure is 180/200 psi. All the ones available in auto parts stores only go to about 100 psi.

you might be into a new gauge / sending unit combo... especially if its 32vDC. I've had good luck with Lauderdale Speedometer. (no affiliation).

Capitol or Lauderdale Speedometer.

If neither has it you may be stuck changing out the units as noted despite there being no close cosmetic match Those senders got really hard to find ~10 years ago and have only gotten worse since.

I was successful in getting 0-90 ohm oil pressure gauge senders to match the 1966 vintage green face Hatteras AC oil pressure gauges 0-80 lb range (custom made) by instrumentsales.com They can probably do an oil sender in the range you need. What I oredered was drop-shipped directly from the manufacturer. I originally found ISS from their partner site partdeal.com where a Google search for the sender had taken me. Try this link for senders: http://www.partdeal.com/gauges/senders.html
FWIW, Lauderdale Speedo has had possession of my vintage temp gauge for a few weeks trying to match a sender to it. So far, no joy. But, I do have faith.
YMMV

Thanks for the responses guys. Believe it or not I found one on ebay and ordered it. There was one manufacturer who said they could get me one but wouldn't have any details till today because I called just as they were closing. If I find they seem like a legit source for the original AC senders I'll post the link.

Glad you found one. Sorry of the last post. I didn't see you needed the sender. I thought you wanted the gauge itself.
