8v195 batteries

8 v 195 batteries are too high for the OEM battery boxes. Do batteries really need the lids on the boxes or not ?

The terminals have to be covered and no exposed metal. If the batteries have the metal tie straps exposed covers are necessary.

819 is a better battery than the 8v195 in most ways. 8v195 is a start battery and does not do deep cycles as well.

The Deka 819s and the Deka 195s are the same height. Placed side by side there is no difference.

But the 819 is 30 or 40 lbs heavier.

Yep! After I pulled my 8 819s and carried them out to the dock, picking up the 195's and installing them was a cakewalk!
