8 step Tracy stairs, Comes with Tracy’s plastic box instead of casters which increases stability although casters can be used. No hand rail. Standard 19” width

How much does it weigh, do you know? Also, will standard 8 stair Marquipt railings work?
 
I don’t have a scale but it s not heavy. I can carry it by myself on the boat for storage in the crew companionway
 
Okay, thanks. I know the newer stairs are lighter then my 89’ Marquipt but I wasn’t sure about the Tracy’s. I absolutely hate dealing with the stairs.
 
A trick i use is having a line tied to the top step. On boats with a hand rail like most hatteras’ it allows you to loop it over the hand rail to hold the stairs up while you put the pins in, even single handed.
 
While I don’t have the handrail, Marquipt just quoted me $305 for a new one. Compatible with the Tracy stairs.
