  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
46' CONVERTIBLE-Series I (1974 - 1981)
Me on 65 Hatt.webp

We recovered this boat after Hurricane Katrina/Rita. Memory tells me it was a 60 ish cockpit boat. It was before my Hatteras days and it was just another job back then.

With the talk of buying soggy Motor Yachts on the other thread I started thinking. Did this boat make it? It was in the Lake Charles area. The owner had passed away and left the boat to his child/children.

Anybody have knowledge of this boat? Sorry, I can't remember the name.

That's what I was thinking, looks like The Hatt Trick.

That's definitely the Hatt Trick. She's in Chicago having all kinds of work done from what I hear under new ownership.

That's awesome! I really wondered what happened to that hull.

That was a mess. Between the mud and all of the oil that floated out of the engine room into the rest of the boat it was bad. The fire suppression system went off on us with the boat half de-watered and we had to abandon ship . It killed all of the gasoline powered pumps we had onboard and we lost several hours.

Glad to hear she went to a good home.

There is a thread here someplace on that boat. YW did amazing things to resurrect her. If everyone in the world worked as hard as YW, and knew as much, we'd all be a lot better off.

she was the cajun queen belonging to bubba oustalet, he passed and it was left to the children, i'm pretty sure she survived katrina, and was taken down by rita.
