I have my 58 YF for 15 years, it has been a privilege to own it.

We raised our son on two boats, a 39 Searay and then on Glory, it is a great boat to entertain aboard and cruise. The YF is a great layout. The 61 is a larger boat, who ever wanted a bigger boat, funny isn't it.

As for the finding space, boats this size wind up on the T head alot of the time.

My $.02.

How many of you fellow YF owners use the side boarding gate vs. stepping into the cockpit? And if you do - what to do carry to get from the dock up to the deck? Boarding stairs? Ladder? Dock steps?

I go onto the cockpit 95% of the time often just hopping over the cockpit side gunnel but I can imagine in a few years that the leap will get harder if not for me for my older family members. Also with the contour of the aft hull sometimes the gap between the dock and swimstep is a challenge for older folks and dogs.

I passed on Marquipt stairs when I saw the weight (and price). So far the Marquipt Sea Ladder style is looking like a solution.

Pictures too please. Cheers-

I have the 48’9 YachtFish.
Love the boat, but as boats age the list of little things needing attention grows.
Mine has a 5’ bow pulpit and a 3’ swim step, so it’s more like 56’ OA.
Good luck with it!
Happy Hoildays!
