58 foot Hatteras Convertible

To all of the knowledgeable Hatteras owners, I have a question. I am still looking for a boat to purchase and have located some extremely nice, 58 foot convertibles. I am curious why this particular boat seems to have "the kiss of death" upon them. I had one person that the 58's have a terrible problem with keel walking and I am wondering if this is a fact. The 58C is an excellent boat but not a popular one, mainly due to the deep draft. They draw 5'11" and are very heavy. This makes them a bit slower so most have 16V92's in them. The 16V92's are very thirsty, cost a lot to rebuild and have a reputation of having a low service life. What you end up with is a boat that draws more and uses more fuel than it's competition. Almost all have the light ash interiors which are much less desirable than traditional or warmer wood finishes. With the prices of all these boats being soft, most 58C shoppers will opt to go for a 65C instead. Much more boat and similar operating cost.
