Looks good. Are you still going to be able to use the transom door, or does that have to be relocated?

I will loose the transom door .... unfortunately . On the West Coast this will be an inconvenience from a diving perspective more than fishing, but a live bait well is essential. MY DOG WILL MISS IT THE MOST!!

Looks great! I'm with the dog, I'd miss the transom door. Looks like a series III 50C. What year and power?

I'd be wanting a toe kick under it.

We are moving along with the install ...... The pictures of the actual bait tank in place was to make sure it fit tightly prior to glassing. We are now glassing in the transom door, then we will reinstall the bait tank and start glassing it in place....... Quite the project!!

Slane Marine has a mold for these, very well done. They have installed quite a few of them.

Nice boat you have there.

Attached are pictures of the bait tank installed

All the fiberglassing is done and is an iatrical part of the boat. It can not be removed.

The deck does not hold up the tank, the tank holds up the deck!

All that's left is Fairing( a big part of it) and painting LP

Enjoying the pictures of the progress.

Very nice work. I am enjoying your posts.

What is the compound you are using to fair / attach the tank?

Regards

To insure strength, I fiberglassed both inside and outside with

2 layers of 3/4 matt,
2 layers of 17-08 biaxial ( 45 degree weave)
1 layer of 24-08 90 ( 90 degree)

adds up to about 1/4 " inside, plus 1/2 foam core, plus 1/4 outside equals 1" thick.

As you can see one on ( .002jpg ) picture, to get the transom curve, I screwed battens on the transom, and then inset them in with 1/4 ply, to allow for the thickness of the fiberglass.
